Tuesday up bright and early

Ah good morning folks I am up early today as I will be going to a regular job today instead of having fun in the studio. yuck! I stayed up way to late last night putting cabochons on the sister site atticktreasures on etsy. Since the move here seems like everything is in lost land somewhere these cabochons were some of the last I had finished at the farm. The Chrysocolla is fantastic as always, my miner friend sends the greatest stuff to me it's always so hard to choose. Actually we should all have this stone as it is said to relieve tension and stress sounds like a stone prozac to me. Cleopatra was said to always carry one with her history says , it's suppose to make ill tempered people tolerant and sensitive umm interesting huh? It's Monday

Good day folks, sorry I haven't blogged lately been kind of busy planting peach orchards and making wonderful cabochons for the atticktreasures site on etsy. I must now take the time to thank all of you on this new adventure I have undertaken.The new rocks arrive almost daily now and I seem to be spending a fair amount of time at the post office sending cabochons to you so I am keeping busy. I have wanted to make some earring cabochons for years and I am finally taking on that project, presently I am waiting on a special blade for my 4inch saw that will make that possible so get ready. Please take a look at the new site and tell me what you think, for years I only made Big stones well now I make all sizes of stones a little something for everyone I do still however seek out the unusual ones oh I like the common variety too and do them as well but I really like the cool stuff you don't see everyday, well it's out to the cabber to do some more then I want to make some cool jewelry today for the other site nancycreations also on etsy. Aquamarine Ring

Here is the usual process for creating a piece of jewelry, first the project starts a the bench where all the ideas, supplies are gathered. This ring will be done with a unfinished aquamarine set in it's natural state, that I purchased from a friend, I have used one of my own printed plates and textured the sterling silver sheet, now the ring shank is drawn , using the stone in the idea and placement and deciding how much room i will need to be able to use prongs on it to hold the stone in place stay with me as I go ahead and prepare to fabricate the ring.
