The Aspring Metalsmiths Challenge Entry

This is a wonderful pair of Labadorite cabochon post earrings, I have freeform cut the leaves and then I fold formed them , hand textured them and then for the swirly effect I tweeked them a little . We will see if I win this is my first entry into the group. Please check us out!

Art of the Day

During my art of the day journey I follow several great people who have their own blogspots. The UmberDove gave us a wonderful recipe for making Honey Wheat bread with flax seed. So that morning off I went an gathered all the ingredients needed. I came and went to the kitchen and got started right away. First I mixed everything following the recipe exactly, an Yes I did taste the dough and it was good. Did your mom ever tell you not to eat dough that it would give you worms my mom did, and I never go worms must have been one of the sayings.
Anyhow the bread was put to rise, now I got busy and forgot about the bread and of course Daisy found it and promptly ate it, and then of course she threw it up thank goodness I wasn't here for that lil clean-up whew! yuck! Now I am going to repeat this whole experiment for the Tuesday art of the day so check back then.

Sunday mornig at the beach !

Isn't mother nature just the best, it is so beautiful and about as far removed from Atlanta as you can possibly get, I feel like I am finally home. In the remaining pictures I will show you a little bit of mother nature at her finest and hope you can enjoy this majical moment with me on this beautiful Sunday Floridian Morning.

Then this family caught this baby shark when they were fishing, looks like a baby hammer

head I think anyway they showed it to me and then took it off the line and through it back in the ocean to grow up. Notice the gloves !

The girls all dressed up to go to the Beach on Sunday Morning. They were so excited ! This was Bella first visit to the beach and she seemed to get right in the swing of things with Daisy and I . My little Daisy loves the water she is such a water babie my little beach bum.
